Seeking ancestry of Clara A. MOULTON, b. September 1843 Licking Co., OH, d. July 2, 1899 Westchester, Jay Co., IN., m.November 13, 1864 Jay Co., IN to John Adam METZNER.
Have been unable to locate her in the 1850 census. In 1860, found her in St. Albans Twp., Licking Co., OH, aged 16, b. OH, living in household of Lydia MOULTON, 64, b. VT, along with Emeline MOULTON, 38, b. OH, and Lydia MOULTON, 11, b. OH. This is household 211, p. 459 St. Albans Twp., Licking Co., OH.
Current theory is that Clara & Lydia are daughter's of Emeline and [_____] MOULTON, possibly Albert MOULTON, as I have found family group that shows Albert MOULTON b. May 10, 1819 Rutland Co., VT, d. May 18, 1864, married to an Emeline [_____]. This Albert is the son of Selah MOULTON b. October 28, 1790 Rutland Co., VT, d. February 1848 St. Albans Twp., Licking Co., OH., & Lydia FENEL/FINEL, b. February 21, 1796 Rutland Co., VT, d. December 1869 Licking Co. OH.
If this IS the correct family, then where was Albert during the census? Any information on these families would be appreciated.

Think again about Levi T. Norris. His 1st wife died 25 Nov 1862. She was
only 33 yrs. old. Levi remarried, name unknown. When Dorothy died she had
young children, so getting married again was what most of the men did. Would
you like me to write out his obit. It's not to long.
I just came back from a trip to Decatur, IN for a Lough family reunion and
then went on to Bryant and Portland for research and found a 92 yr. old 2nd
cousin. Going back soon. Where is the flea market in Decatur?Jan L.
Thanks for the info. Looks like this isn't the one I've been searching for.
Mine was born about the same time as yours but mine married Julia Ann Long in
OH and was divorced from her circa 1890.
Are you doing genealogy work in Decatur IN? I go there from time to time on the
first Sunday of the month for the flea market. I'm a junker!
Thanks again. Looks like I'll continue looking for my g grandfather.

Yes that is true, but if you go to www.topvietnamveterans.org
they seem to be doing a lot to verify the authenticity of the tags before
returning them and they said the real ones are depleting.

I got the same information from a veterans' site. It seems that a lot of
these dog tags are counterfeit, manufactured from personnel lists left behind
by the US military in the rush to leave back in 1975.
There is a website www.founddogtags.com
from what i understand there was a couple of men on a business trip to vietnam. While there, someone was selling dog tags of service men killed in action. The men were appallled at this. The gentlemen bought several hundred at 19 cents a piece in attempt to get them to the family members of the serviceman that was killed.

This i thought some of you might be interested, i seen several surnames that
people are researching. There was A.J. Wolfe that was married to Jemima
Stults, and Deemer's ,etc. might be worth a look at.

course, I absolutely had to have it. On the cover is written "Oliver
Overmyer - Bellevue Ohio." (Who in Sandusky doesn't have an Overmyer
relative?) I have scanned the entire book and put it online at
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hoptoad/. It does not contain a
publication date but I'm fairly sure it's either from the 1920s or '30s.
The Hayes Library doesn't even have a copy, so they were unable to help me.
Please take a look and let me know if you have any information.
