NEW MANAGER NAMED FOR FARM AT STATE SCHOOL
James G. Jackson of Seymour , Ind., Appointed to Succeed Walter Kell
James G. Jackson of Seymour, Ind., brother of Major Ed. Jackson, secretary
of state, has been appointed farm manager of the farms of the Indiana School
for Feeble Minded Youth by the board of trustees to succeed Walter Kell who,
it is understood, will go to Tippecanoe County as agricultural agent. Mr.
Jackson will take charge of Wednesday and will move his family to this city
later.
Mr. Jackson comes highly recommended and the members of the board feel they
have been exceptionally fortunate in securing his services. He has had wide
experience in agricultural work having had charge of a number of large farms
which he managed most successfully. During the war he served as a Y. M. C.
A. secretary.
The state owns 900 acres in this county, divided into two farms known as the
Colonia and Black Hawk farms.
