Subject: [Jackson Co IN] Prince/ Brannon(an) /Mace / Spurgeon./ Johnson/
Hello Nancy(?) or
I have Prince and other
in Grassy Fork TWP in 1800's.
Prince and James Johnson donated and built the Grassy Fork School that
opened in
1850. Thomas Jefferson Brannan was the first school teacher. He
was
my great
Uncle. I would like any information of these that are bur. there.
I
think some
went to Mo. later.
James Johnson mar. a dau. Jerusha, of Moses Brannan and Thomas was
also a son.
Thomas and the Prince girl had an affair and she had a baby girl b
in
spring of
1851. She grew up and mar. to a Albert Mace and had abt 10 ch. I*
have
all the
story. some of the Brannon(an)'s and the Johnson's moved to
Iowa Co. Ia.
after
abt. 1862 to Marengo. Moses Brannan died in Kozsta, Ia. Co. Ia in
1871.
If any descend still around , I would to hear from you.
Maxine Wilton
