Who were his parents, grandparents, great-grandparents; etc.? I could be related to him.

DIGEST SUBSCRIBERS PLEASE NOTE
1. WHEN REPLYING TO ANY DIGEST MESSAGE, please edit the digest and quote ONLY the
specific portion or message you are replying to. All the rest of the digest should be
deleted before replying back to the list. Also, remember to delete the digest subject
line as well, and replace it with a brief subject line pertaining to your reply. PLEASE
DO NOT send an entire digest back to the list in reply, or reuse any digest subject line.
2. By default, all digests for this list are sent out in standard text format, which
simply means you will receive all postings for the day once a day, with each post for the
previous day shown as one long digest on most days. If you prefer receiving your daily
digest in the same daily message, but with each posts shown as a single attachment, then
write to me at the List Admin's address found below and ask me to change your digest
format to "MIME." As always, make sure you include your subscribed address and
the list name as so I can positively identify you in the correct subscriber list.
3. In all but the very busiest of lists, the net result of subscribing in digest mode
means that you will receive the 1 or 2 messages in a typical day up to 24 hours later than
those who subscribe in list mode. List mode subscribers receive each individual post in
the same plain text format, but immediately as they are posted rather than up to a day
later when the digest is dispatched.
4. In general, list mode messages can be replied to easier and with less editing needed
than digests, and with little or no need to also change the subject line in most cases.
If you would like to change your digest subscription to list mode and receive each message
as they are posted rather than the following day, then following are two ways of making
the change to list mode:
* Unsubscribe, then subscribe again and choose list mode. Note that you MUST UNSUB
THE DIGEST FIRST, because the system will not accept a second subscription if it already
finds one for the same address on list.
* If you prefer, send me a note to my official List Admin's address below and ask
me to change your digest mode subscription to list mode and I will do the rest. Be sure
to include the list name (I administer more than just this one list) and of course your
subscribed email address to change, or I may not be able to help you.
5. Please note at the bottom of this digest you will find not only the List Admin's
contact information, but the correct list posting address and other helpful information to
help you use the list more effectively and efficiently. If you have any questions about
any list operation issue, please drop me a line at my email address found below 24/7, and
you will always receive a reply.
