My husband and I have been there at the Brownstown library and the one that
we went to was not the town library but the genealogical library. They were
in a white block building by themselves. I do not remember what the address
is but do know that we passed the courthouse for a couple of blocks before
we saw it. The public library there really does not have that much. The
courthouse people were very helpful for looking up records.
Some one at the library at Seymour told me about the society library at
Brownstown or we would have known about it. The public library [in
Brownstown] did not tell us about it, so we drove on to Seymour to their
library, stayed the night then went back to Brownstown. Found lots of
information there, but do not remember their hours or the days that they are
opened. Maybe someone on this list will know.

The courthouse and the Gen. Soc. are in Brownstown and it would be
really
tough to miss the courthouse. (unless it's been moved since May of last
year when I was there) Maybe the library can give you the street
address.
The main branch of the Jackson County public library and the health
department are in Seymour.
I didn't know that there is a library in Brownstown.
Brownstown is a much smaller town then Seymour and is about 20-30 mins
from Seymour.
There's a Jackson Co. Visitors Center in the Tangier Outlet Center right
at the Seymour exit. I missed it on my first trip there, but found it the
2nd time and they were very helpful.
