This is taken from the research of John W. Hanneman; The Ruddick Family in
America, 1993.
Jesse Ruddick, son of William; born on October 4, 1819, Jackson Township,
Jackson County, Indiana. He married on May 17, 1842 to Miss Matilda Findley,
(born February 7, 1815, Indiana). She was the daughter of Honorable Judge
Abel Findley, who came to Jackson County at an early day and settled on the
original Ruddick land in Brownstown Township, where they became very
prominent.
They had nine children beginning with Joseph; b. Apr. 10, 1943 and ending with
George Beecher; b. Dec. 6, 1859.
Matilda died near Jasper Missouri on July 18, 1890 and Jesse followed on
November 31, 1892.
