Hello, Isaac Zike was the son of John Zike Sr. I have the Zike Book, so it took a little
bit to find him. Here is a direct quote from the book. "3-i Isaac Zike Never
Married b. 1843 Jackson Co., Ind. d. 03-09-1862 died in the Civil War in Army. He died
of Typhoid Fever in Belmont Hospital, Ky. He was in Co. B, 50 Reg't Indiana Vol. He
enlisted for a period of three years. He enlisted at Clearspring, Indiana. He had sandy
hair; blue eyes; 5ft.10in. high; he was a Private. He was the youngest of all the children
of John Zike, Sr., according to Mrs. Silas Baker, a descendent of John Zike, Sr."
I hope this helps you out. That was all there was in the book. I also have Zike's in
the family, that is how I acquired a copy of the book. I did discover a few pages missing,
but they are of later descendents, not the early ones. Good Luck, Marty Smith Wells,
Pierceton, Indiana researching, Smith, Haggard, Kindred, McMillan, Zike, Prather, Burse,
and others.
