Durland, Austin G. -- Died in Lanark, Stephenson co., Ill., of lung fever
on the 18th inst., Austin G. Durland, a son of Nelson C. & Elizabeth B.
Durland, of Brownstown, this co., aged 25 yrs., 8 mos. & 26 days. He served
for 3 yrs. as a soldier in Co. A, 50th regiment. His remains were brought to
Brownstown for interment. ( Jan. 31)

Durland, Margaret V. -- Mrs. Margaret V. Durland d. Thurs. last. She was b.
near Charleston, Clark Co., Ind., May 7, 1810. she was the dau. of Wm. & Lucy
Mooney, & was the last surviving one of a family of 13 children, among whom
were John P. Mooney & Samuel P. Mooney. She was united in matrimony with
Gilbert B. Durland on Oct. 7, 1834. He died March 25, 1855. Seven children
blessed their union, only 3 of whom are living. The Mooney family was
originally from Va., whence they emigrated to Ky. & then to Indiana.

Durland, Lena -- Died on Wed., July 26, Lena, infant dau. of Mr. & Mrs.
Charles Durland.

Durland, John M. -- son of Gilbert B. Durland, deceased, d. Mon. of an acute
attack of gastritis. He was 37 yrs., 1 mo. & 10 days of age. He was interred
in the old burying ground at this place on Tuesday ( March 15)
Rachel Stilwell is mention as the sister of Mrs. Nelson C. Durland.

Durland, Pearl --oldest & only remaining child of Chas. H. & Mrs. Clara
Durland, died Mon. of scarlet fever. The remains were interred in the new
cem. Tuesday. (Feb.20)
Durland , Robert-- who formerly resided near the Durland school house in our
twp., d. recently in Flora, Ill., aged about 60 years. (March 27)
