To obtain the marriage records, write the county where the marriage occurred.
Be advised that early marriage records often contain only the names of the
parties and the date. Some also included the name of the person performing the
ceremony.
Later records include marriage license applications, which often contain the
names, occupations and places of birth for parents of the bride and groom, as
well as information about the couple.
