Allen:
I searched my several Jackson Co., IN, Wheeler connections and can not
identify either of these two individuals.

On 25 August 1880 in Jackson Co., IN, a Mary HOUSE(sic) married John WHEELER per Jackson
Co., IN Marriage Book H, Page 315. In the 1900 Carr Twp., Jackson Co., IN census, Mary
WHEELER (widow) is living in her son's, Silas HARRIS, dwelling. I believe that the
reference to "HOUSE" as Mary's surname in the marriage record was incorrect
and that it was actually "HARRIS".
Mary WHEELER died 23 July 1901 in Carr Twp., Jackson Co., IN per Jackson Co., IN Death
Book 20, Page 12. There is a gravestone in the Lanning Spur Cemetery in Carr Twp., for
Mary E. HARRIS with a death date of 23 July 1901 the same date as that of Mary WHEELER.
Is Mary (HOUSE) WHEELER actually Mary E. HARRIS? If so, what happend to John Wheeler as
I've not found any death or burial record for him in Jackson Co.?
Happy Holidays.
