I am looking for information on the Adam Miller families and Allen Smith
families. Judge Adam Miller was my great grandmother's grandfather, father
of Susanna Miller. Susanna's mother, Susanna Settles was her mother and
died at Susanna's birth. Susanna Miller married Allen Smith in Jackson Co.,
IN and they show up in the 1850 Jackson Co., IN census in Driftwood Twp.
Allen was born abt. 1828 in Kentucky (there was another Allen Smith in a
neighboring county with similar information but I found both of their
marriage information and the possibility of them being the same is not
likely at all. The next record I find of Susanna Miller is in Illinois and
she married an Adams. I found a good tree as far as it goes on the Adams
side but Allen Smith disappears...death, divorce...the gentleman who did the
Adams tree could not find a clue. Any information on any of these families
will be greatly appreciated and I will be glad to exchange information of
what I have on the rest of the family. Thank you. Pat Morano
Pat, Are you aware of the "Miller" family cemetery in Jackson Co. I believe
Adam Miller & his wife are buried there. I may also be in that line, but have been
unable to prove it so far. My G.G. Grandfather was Adam Miller Crabb. Stephen
Crabb married Julia Ann Miller, daughter of Adam Miller. I believe (must check later)
that Adam Miller Married Stephen Crabb's sister Harriet after the death of Susanna
Settles. I will check all this, and contact you off list. Fred Crabb.
