<<I guess the Blair and Collins families were close.
Name: Agness Blair
Spouse: Charles Collins
Marriage Date: 1 Jan 1841
County: Jackson
State: Indiana
Source: Family History Library, Salt Lake City, UT
Microfilm: 1314624 >>
Michael...this particular marriage is a 2nd for Agness...she is actually
Agness Johnson, the daughter of Moses Johnson and Rebecca Irons Johnson (you can
verify this with Bob McKenzie, <rmack(a)fcg.net>, if emai is still good from
2003)...according to Bob this Johnson family migrated from Bullitt Co, KY to
Jackson Co. IN....
AND what is also interesting....Christine Lurk (member of this list) has a
photocopy of the "... issued Marriage License" and "Certificate of
Marriage" for
her ancestors John W. Carter and Caroline M. Keller...the issue date and
marriage date are "first day of January 1841"....the next entry in the log which
appears on this photocopy is the "...issued Marriage License for Charles
Collins and Agness Blair on the first day of January 1841"...the "Certificate of
Marriage" was not completely copied so I cannot confirm they were married the
same date the license was issued.
The 1st marriage of Agness was actually discovered on ebay by Christine Lurk
when the following came up for bid in Aug 2000...
