Well, after thinking it over since last night, I'm going to take a big, deep
breath and agree to help organize a "reunion" of sorts for people interested
in the genealogy of Jackson County families. This will definitely be a first
for me!
Since not everyone on this mailing list (i.e., the Jackson County Discussion
List) may be interested in this subject, I've set up a more informal "chat"
list over on
egroups.com to discuss this and other
not-quite-Jackson-County-genealogy-related issues that may be of interest to
some of you on this list. The name of the group is
INJACKSONCHAT(a)egroups.com. This new list will be a restricted group, so you
won't be able to find it by searching egroups' list of public groups.
However, I may put some information on how to subscribe on the Jackson County
INGenWeb site or just send a little reminder to the Jackson County Discussion
List periodically to let new subscribers know about it.
I will be sending out an invitation to join this new mailing list to all the
current subscribers of the Jackson County Discussion List. Please feel free
to ignore the invitation to join the INJACKSONCHAT mailing list! I know many
of you probably already have bulging e-mail boxes and just can't handle
belonging to another list. If some of us are successful in planning a
gathering that may be of interest to members of the Jackson County Discussion
list, I'm sure we'll post a message here or there just to make sure you have
an opportunity to participate, if you so desire.
Sincerely,
Dolores Lombardi
