If you will look again, you will find that in the 1880 census, Jackson Co.,
Salt Creek Twp., the child (Adda) of Howard and Amanda Lane is a daughter. I
was thinking that could possibly be Ella, but then in another census record, it
said Ella was born in January, 1881. So I'm not sure about that.
In 1900 census, Jackson Co., Salt Creek Twp., it shows Howard Lane,
Amanda and sons, Dennis and Charles H.S.. I don't know where the Charles comes
from but I'm sure that is Stanley Howard. In the house next door is Jacob
Wray, Ellen (Ella) and their two children, Zella and Ezra. Ella married Jacob
Wray. At that time, it shows they had been married for 2 years.
In 1910 census, I found Howard and Amanda in Lawrence Co., Pleasant
Run Twp., with son Charles. That Charles name showed up again. I wonder if he
could have been named Charles Stanley Howard Lane??? In the house next
door to them, was Dennis Lane (my grandfather) with his wife Mamie (Henderson)
and 2 children.
In 1920 census, I found Dennis Lane in Brown Co., Washington Twp.,
with his wife and children. It's hard to make out the name Mamie as his wife,
but I know for a fact (because they're family) that the children's names are
right.
In 1930 census, Monroe Co., Perry Twp., I found Jake Wray, Ella and my
grandfather, Dennis Lane was living with them.
Also in 1930 census, Lawrence Co., Pleasant Run Twp., I found Stanly
Lane, with wife Anna (Anna Hester Williams) and children.
Jacob and Ella Wray are also listed in the 1920 census, Monroe Co.,
Perry Twp..
In 1930 census, Lawrence Co., Pleasant Run Twp., is Stanley Lane, wife
Anna, and children.
I have a copy of Anna's obituary but I haven't had any luck getting
one for Stanley yet.
I sure hope I haven't made this too long or confusing. This is the
first time I have ever even written anything on here so I hope I'm doing it
right.
