I do not have information for Weddle, but am seeking further information for Fannie and Frances Durham. My information indicates Fannie Bell Durham; born 2 Nov 1887 Jackson County, died Feb 1977 Jackson County married James Henry Lawson on 15 May 1911 Jackson County. James Henry was grandson of John and Nancy Durham Lawson married about 1849 KY. Nancy died before 1870 in Jackson County. Frances Durham, born 9 Sep 1890 died 1981 married John L Durham, born 21 Jan 1889 died 15 May 1915 Jackson County. John L Durham was son of John Hardin Durham, born 18 Jan 1842 IN, died ??? (was in 1910 Jackson County Census) + Eliza Ellen Trueblood, born Jul 1858 IN, died 27 Jul 1920. Eliza Ellen Trueblood was John Hardin Durham’s second marriage. John Hardin Durham was son of Joseph Durham, born 1818 Madison County KY, died 1874 Rockcastle County, KY + Unknown.( born KY as noted in John Hardin’s census listing). I have nothing in my to indicate the ancestors!
of Fannie and Frances Durham, although I have seen speculation they were daughters of a John Harden Durham that died 1942 at age 81 in Jackson County and is buried in Lanning Spur Cemetery. I know nothing of such a John Harden Durham. The John Hardin Durham born 1842 appears to get the Hardin middle name from his grandmother’s last name.

I will appreciate any information you could provide for John Harden Durham + Mary Ellen Booker. Could this John Harden Durham, apparently born about 1862 be the son of the John Hardin born about 1842? John Hardin Durham born 1842 married (1) Sarah Ellen Daughtery on 29 Sep 1865; and married (2) Eliza Ellen Trueblood on 15 Oct 1877, both marriages in Jackson County, IN. Could there have been an earlier marriage and John Harden Durham 1862 was the son of the John Hardin Durham 1842. the 1842 John H was a half brother of my grandfather, though born almost 30 years earlier. Frances and Fanny are new Durham names to my family research.

Looking for family in Seymour Ind. area, too help with Family Tree,,,
Hello.
Some of you have updated your email addy at the county site and I
thank you. But there are still quite a few that have not. I had an
email this morning of someone that had tried to get ahold of a couple
of you on the surname page. Please update your email addys. I would
not want to miss contact myself. The surnames missed today were
Tadlock and Terrrell I believe.
Also, a couple of months ago I tried to contact a person who does look
ups for us after I had recieved emails stating that they did not get
replys. I needed a look up myself, so I sent an email from another
addy I have for a look up. I did not get a reply myself. Please
think about your decision to do look ups and let me know if you have
changed your mind. I will check the addys again later on.
This could all be a problem with your email filter. If it is set too
high, emails will not get through. If you are using your server,
please get a web-mail. AOL will not go through. I know this from
personal experience. Most servers are filtering mail and not
allowing anything not in your book through. There are many free web
mails.
If you are not getting emails for lookups or surname contacts, maybe
you need to check your email, please.
Thank you

We're looking for information about John H. and Minerva Ayars Patrick Cook, who lived in Bedford for at least 30 years, between 1900 and 1930, but both of whom were born in Seymour. They appear to have had a daughter, Gladys, born about 1900. We would like to know whom Gladys was married to, if at all, and some information after the 1920 census.
Aunt Minnie was my great-grandaunt, my grandfather's aunt. We believe that she died in the 1950s, and suspect that she may have been buried in Riverview Cemetery in Seymour.
We are always eager to trade information with interested researchers.

This site ( http://geonames.usgs.gov/redirect.html ) - Geographic Names

Those nearest to Brownstown are in Clark and Washington counties - so I'd
check there too.

listed, but not Abe. I am not familiar with any other Crown Hill in
Indiana, though.

My Smith family has Prather's and Haggard's married into it. My GGGGrandfather Johnson Smith married to Melvina Haggard in Lawrence County, in Jan 1834. The Smith's and Haggard's came to Lawrence/Jackson County from Jessamine County, when these two were children, young children. I have a lot of Haggard information, I do not know if it includes your Haggard. Am still working on the Prather's. A whole strip of Jackson County sections on the west side, was given to Lawrence County, when Lawrence was formed. I know that some of my Smith family ended up in both counties. John Haggard married to Juda Kindred went to Morgan County after settling in Jackson/Lawrence. I know that some of the family went with them, around Morgantown. John died in 1849, and I have a copy of an indenture deed, naming Johnson and Melvina on it, as John's assets didn't pay his bills and money was owed. I will help if I can. Thanks, Marty Smith Wells, Pierceton, Indiana
