I don't have proof of either, but have a Sally Lindsey, daughter of Joshua Lindsey and Sarah Johnson; and a Sarah Lindsey, daughter of William Lindsey and Mary (Margaret) Findley. The later is my primary search as Sarah married Stephen McCoy in 1820 Jackson Co., IN.

Hello Lou Ann,
that was a quick reply, thank you so much.
Well, I would love to hear more - therefore I even wrote you an email. Also, my grandma is a Zuercher, she married my grandpa (Lehmann) and so the two families (both mennonite background, I believe) came together. My grandma is still alive and i have to ask her for some fotoalbums and adresses - she kept things from over 100 yrs. ago.
I need to let you know that next year there will be a big conference in switzerland hosted by christian organisations that want to see mennonites (who were persecuted there 500 yrs. ago) and the state church in Swtzl. celebrate reconciliation - to me taht is a wonderful idea! :)
Looking forward to hear more from you.

Hello, Anja;
It is so exciting to hear from you and find another relative, possibly! Both my grandparents came from Berne, Switzerland, Grandpa Bachmann as a young man who got a job for awhile as a cook for the Wild West shows (Wild Bill Hickock?) and was able to earn an extra 50 cents a day if he loaded the bullets with powder for the next day's show!
Grandma Bachmann, the former Adelle Zuercher, was the daughter of Daniel Zuercher and Barbara Sprunger, who was related to the Lehmanns, and also was related to "Der Auld Man"...Reverend Peter Sprunger, who I think was one of the ones who built the first Mennonite Church in the county where they were all settled at. I don't have that book with me right now, but have a TON of info in there that we can get together and I will share with you...
Blessings!!! from Lou Ann

Hello - well, I am a Lehmann, and my grandfather (came from mennonites) left us two diaries with geneology in it, and Brabara Sprunger is one person he mentions - my grandma is a Zuercher (Rosalie), one of 21 kids, also mennonites... and my uncle told me that we are related to the Jake Lehman who owns this Amish store in Kidron, Ohio, that you were referring to. Now, that means we are most likely related as well. Well, I am Swiss, my part of the family didn't leave switzerland, a cousin told me once it was because my greatgrandfather had been seriously sick and couldn't get on the boat withh his family...
Please contact me if you can - I'd be interested to learn more, since I have started to write a book. myself, using my grandfathers diaries... I am especially interested in the histor of my mennonite ancetsors! contact info(a)anjalehmann.de
