John Hare Funeral Sunday,
John Hare, an aged resident of North Manchester, died about eleven o'clock Thursday
at his home on North Walnut street. He had been in failing health for some time and
death was not unexpected. The body was taken to the Bender funeral home where the funeral
was held Sunday afternoon at 1:30. Rev. Noah McCoy conducted the service and burial was
in Oaklawn cemetery.
Mr. Hare was a son of Michael B. and Susannah Hare and was born east of Liberty Mills 81
years ago February 10. He married Miss Hannah Webster who died seven years ago. They
lived for many years on a farm northeast of Liberty Mills, but moved to North Manchester
several years ago. Surviving are three children, Mrs. Sue Aughinbaugh of Indianapolis,
Mrs. Fred Sandoz of Denver, Colorado, and Dr. Conrad Hare of West New York, New Jersey.
Mrs. Sandoz was unable to be here for the funeral because of ill health. There are also
four grandchildren living and one sister, Mrs. Lyman Phillips of North Mancheste
