Harold Henry Jacobs

Native of this city, Harold Henry Jacobs 53, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harmon W. Jacobs, 806
Ogan Avenue, died Friday morning in St. Joseph's Hospital, Florence, Colorado where he
had been a patient for the last week. He had been in failing health and seriously ill for
the last six weeks.
He was born May 29, 1911 to Harmon W. and Mabel Barker Jacobs. He attended Huntington
Township grade and high schools. His first marriage was to Alberta Thomson, who died
January 7, 1935. His second marriage was to Marian Cavanaugh on July 18, 1936. The couple
had lived for the last four and on-half years in Florence, Colo., where they owned and
operated The Frying Pan Restaurant.
Surviving is the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Jane Ann) Hullinger, Bluffton and Mrs.
Dale (Karol) Reekers. Salinda, Colorado: eight grandchildren, Robert Jr., William, John,
Thomas and Rebecca Hullinger and David, Jeffrey and Kelly Reekers; the parents of this
city; a sister, Mrs. William Eichman, Fort Wayne, and several cousins in the area.
Mr. Jacobs was a member of the Methodist Church in Florence, Colo.; president of the
Men's Club, member of the official board and chairman of the board of trustees of the
church, and a member of Albert Pike Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons at Guthrie, Okla.
The body is at the Witty Funeral Home, Florence, Colo. Funeral services will be held at 11
a.m. Monday in the Methodist Church at Florence. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery,
Salinda, Colo., where graveside services will be held.
