Wilhelmina (Amanda) Jacobs Horn
Mrs. Wilhelmina Horn, fifty-eight years old died at her home, 537 Front Street, Sunday
morning at 8 o'clock. Mrs. Horn had been ailing for several years and had been
seriously ill for about four weeks.
The deceased was born to Henry and Louisa Jacobs in Huntington, June 16, 1861. She was
married to John Horn September 22, 1891. Surviving are the husband, the mother, a son
Lawrence Horn of Huntington, a daughter Mrs. Harmon Rittenhouse of Huntington, one
grandchild, two sisters, Mrs. Harvey Ryan and Mrs. Charles Simons of Huntington, three
brothers, Charles, George, and Harmon Jacobs all of this city. Three brothers, Peter,
Samuel and Henry Jacobs are deceased. Peter and the father, Henry Jacobs have died during
the past year. One sister, Catherine Jacobs is also deceased. Mrs. Horn was a member of
the First M.E. church of Huntington and the * G.I.A. to the B. of L. E.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 at the residence on Front Street.
The Rev. R.W. Loose of the Crescent Avenue Evangelical Church of Fort Wayne will have
charge of the services. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
* The Grand International Auxiliary to the Brothers of Locomotive Engineers composed of
the wives of engineer members.
