Jessie L. Horn Rittenhouse

Native of Huntington County and a resident of 966 Charles St. for the last several years,
Mrs. Jessie L Rittenhouse, 74, died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Huntington County
Hospital after a serious illness of the last week. She had been in failing health for the
last several years.
She was born June 7, 1894 to John W and Wilhelmina C. Jacobs Horn. She married Harmon E.
Rittenhouse on June 7, 1912. He died February 8, 1941.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Melba) Morrett also of 966 Charles St. and a
grandson, Richard Morrett Jr. with the U.S. Air Force in Germany. She was the last of her
family. A brother Lawrence S. Horn is dead.
Mrs. Rittenhouse was a member of Christ the King Episcopal Church and the Ladies Society
of the B. of L. F. & E.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday in the Bailey Mortuary. Funeral services will be
conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Christ the King Episcopal Church with Rev. Father Ian
Schlatterbeck officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family has requested
preferred memorials to the church.
