Baby was Killed.
Mrs. James Foster Meets with a Terrible Accident.
Meager Details Received.
The Lady Lives near Batson's Bridge but was Visiting in Ohio.
A telegram was received Saturday telling of a terrible accident of which Mrs. James Foster
and her little child were the victims at Warren, Ohio, Saturday morning. She and her baby
were crossing a railroad track when they were struck by a train and the child was
instantly killed. Mrs. Foster received injuries which it is feared may prove fatal. The
details of the accident could not be learned as no word except that contained in the
telegram has been received.
The unfortunate woman is the wife of James Foster, superintendent of the Griffin Oil
Company, and she and her husband live on the William Minnich farm near Batson's
bridge. She has been in Ohio several weeks visiting friends. Mr. Foster started to
Warren Friday evening expecting to join his family but when he arrived there he found his
baby a corpse and his wife frightfully mangled.
A dispatch from Warren, Ohio, to the Muncie Star states that Mrs. Foster was killed and
that her body and the body of her little daughter were greatly mutilated. She was struck
by a B & O freight train.
