Death of John Fry.
Former Merchant at McNatts Passes Away at Marion Hospital.
The remains of John Fry, formerly of McNatts, were brought from Marion to Warren for
burial Tuesday morning. The funeral was held at the M.E. church here with Rev. J. L.
Barclay, pastor of the Salamonia Circuit of the M.P. church officiating. The burial was
at Woodlawn.
John Fry was born in Ohio more than sixty-six years ago but for a great many years he has
been a resident of Jackson township, Wells county and conducted a general store at
McNatts. Four years ago his wife died and during the greater part of the time since he
has made his home with relatives.
About four months ago he was taken seriously ill at the home of his brother-in-law, Mr.
East, near Liberty Center and has been helpless since then. Six weeks ago he was taken to
Marion to be treated. He was in the hospital two weeks and the remainder of the time was
spent at the home of his niece, Mrs. Dora T. Neff. His death occurred at the Marion
hospital Sunday evening. His ailment was the general debility incident to old age.
The deceased was a member of the M.P. church at McNatts and was held in high esteem by all
who knew him.
