A Remarkable Coincidence.
While at M.E. Ware's marble shop a few days ago our attention was called to a
remarkable coincidence. A monument was being prepared for the graves of Charles Wolverton
and his wife, Jemima, who formerly lived near Pleasant Plain. It was noticed that while
there was a difference of nearly nine years in the dates of their deaths, their ages were
the same to a day. He died November 4, 1895, and she on March 8, 1904. The age of each
was given as 77 years, 9 months and 12 days. It is doubtful if another such coincidence
has ever occurred in the state. Mr. and Mrs. Wolverton were well known in Jefferson
township where they lived for many years and reared a large family of children.
