Hello! I am hoping for some help... My Great Grandfather, Joseph A.
Johnson died in Huntington, Indiana, November 29, 1923, the following is
from a newspaper:
Johnson, Joseph A. Huntington,
Indiana
Friday, November 30, 1923
Herald
JOSEPH A. JOHNSON, 63 DIES AT HOME OF SISTER
Joseph A. Johnson, 63 years old died at the home of his Sister Mrs. Axel
Weiger, 1503 East Market Street at 9:50 o'clock Thursday evening.
Mr. Johnson was born in Sweden and came to this country in 1880. His
home has been in Royalton Minn., since that time. He came to Huntington
in October for an extended visit with his sister and has been here since
that time.
He is survived by the widow Mrs. Emma L. Johnson who is at their
home in Minnesota, and seven children.
The body was taken to the Purviance funeral home late Thursday
evening where the funeral services will be held next Sunday afternoon at
3 o'clock.
Can you help me with this information? I would like to find out where
he is buried. I spoke with a Mr. Anthony Gick, from Benton County and
he directed me to the 1900 census, where I found him and his family!
What a surprise! Thank you in advance for any help that you may be able
to offer! Lori
