Hi,
My dad worked for the Erie. I have a bunch of Erie "stuff" and will look and
see if your dad's name is list on any data.
I have a Lancaster High School Senior Class Book with all the student's
photos from the classes of 1898 to when the high school closed in 1966. It
shows your dad's (Dean L. Sharp) photo in the class of 1962. My husband went
to Lancaster too.

Subject: [INHUNT] Railroads in Huntington
I was wondering if anyone could tell me the name of the railroad
company
that operated through Huntington in the early to mid 1960s. My dad told me
before he passed away a few years ago the name, part of it was Erie. He
was a fireman on it, and he said that when he went for a trip that he was
gone 3 days, I think part of the line went to Chicago as well. But there
were several stops. I would really like to hear from anyone who may of
worked for the railroad at this time as well. My dad was Dean Sharp. He
was also telling me about a girl friend at the time, never gave her name,
but that she would drive him in his car to the station and pick him up when
he came back, but never filled up the tank, much to his chigrin. Dad
graduated from Lancaster High School in 1961 so the time period would of
been from say 61 to 66. I don't know how long he worked this job.
Thanks, and Happy Father's Day. Andrea Sharp Long
