I would really like a chance to have a peek at the magazine. I'll try to find
something on them, surely there will be a way. Thanks Louis. Phyllis, with your tips, I
did indeed find pictures. So it looks like it became the Erie Lackawanna about 1960, so I
would say that was the name of it when Dad worked it between 1962-1966. Dad and Mom
married in 1966, and don't think he worked there when they married, but I am not
really sure on that. He just talked about the girlfriend, so I think it was before he met
Mom, about '65. There is a neat RR museum near where I use to live in Union, McHenry
Co., IL. They had RR patches there for all kinds of lines, but since I didn't know
the name, I couldn't find the right patch. I would like to get patches for his
grandkids for a rememberance thing on him. I think his grandson would really like that.
At least now I have the name and can get that done. Thanks Phyllis. Carole, I can't
wait to see if you have something in those
docs of yours. I hope so. That would be a really great extra to have on him. I think
that for a little while his dad worked it as well. Wilbert I. Sharp was his name. I have
seen a copy of the year book of all the grads from Lancaster, I don't remember if it
was Dad's or someone elses, but I did make copies, plus I have lots of his school
pictures over the years as well. We are fortunate in that. I went to Lancaster as well
for Elementery School, now my nephew does as well. Ah, memories! Thanks Carole.

And many of the company's employee magazines have been scanned
into a web site, the name of which escapes me. I found the announcement of
my mom and dad's wedding announced on the pages of that magazine. There's a
great deal of bio material in the magazines.

On Behalf Of Phyllis Kline
My husband worked on the Erie, and then the name was changed to the
Erie-Lackawanna Railroad, .... If you dig deep enough into
the information, you might find the roster of of all the men who worked on
the Erie Railroad. Phyllis Kline

Hi,
My dad worked for the Erie. I have a bunch of Erie "stuff" and will look and
see if your dad's name is list on any data.
I have a Lancaster High School Senior Class Book with all the student's
photos from the classes of 1898 to when the high school closed in 1966. It
shows your dad's (Dean L. Sharp) photo in the class of 1962. My husband went
to Lancaster too.
