Larry Eugene Mullins, 64, Huntington, died at 2:35 a.m. Sunday (May 28, 2006) at the
Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Mullins was an instructor of electronics at ITT Technical Institute in Fort Wayne. He
served in the Marines for nine years and was a member of American Legion Post 51. He was a
member and past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689, Huntington.
He was born April 20, 1942, in Winslow, Ind., a son of Guy and Mary Gipson Mullins. He
married Marilyn Mathis Sept. 13, 1968; his wife survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Keith A. Mullins, Huntington; three daughters, Crystal
Michelle Curry and Patricia A. West, both of Huntington, and Bridget Elaine Capes,
Tennessee; a brother, George "Ike" Mullins, Indianapolis; a sister, Edna
Cottrell, Oakland City; 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Three brothers and three sisters are deceased.
Calling is from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home.
Additional calling will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Lamb-Basham Memorial
Chapel, Oakland City, where services will be held at noon. Burial will be at Oak Hill
Cemetery, Winslow.
