Kathleen Kalley, 58, Naples, Fla., died Tuesday (June 21, 2005) at Naples Community
Hospital.
Local arrangements are pending at Deal-Rice & Van Gilder Funeral Home, Huntington
Chapel.
Susan Kaye Lawson
Susan Kaye Lawson, 46, Roanoke, died Monday (June 20, 2005) in Park Hills, Mo.
Mrs. Lawson formerly lived in Elvins, Mo. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Roanoke
and the Immaculate Conception Church in Park Hills. She graduated from Central High School
in Park Hills, Mo., in 1977, from Mineral Area College, Park Hills, Mo., in 1979, and from
Indiana University in 1991.
Mrs. Lawson was born Nov. 5, 1958, in Bonne Terre, Mo., to Robert and Anna Lee Rosener
Edgar, and her father survives in Park Hills, Mo. She married Randall E. Lawson, and her
husband survives in Roanoke.
Other survivors include a son, Robert Matthew Lawson of Indiana; four brothers, Robert S.
Edgar of California, Donald W. Edgar and Randall L. Edgar, both of Park Hills, Mo., and
Tracy L. Edgar of Farmington; two sisters, Cheryl A. Hagerty of Festus, Mo., and Jeanne M.
Forrester of Park Hills, Mo.; and other relatives and friends.
Calling hours are 4 p.m. until a 6 p.m. prayer service Wednesday at C.Z. Boyer and Son
Funeral Home in Desloge, Mo. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate
Conception Church in Park Hills, Mo., with Rev. Jim French officiating.
Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Park Hills, Mo.

John P. Moran Jr.
John "Jack" P. Moran Jr., 78, Huntington, died at 12:05 p.m. Tuesday (June 21,
2005) at Norwood Nursing Center.
Prior to retiring in 1984, Mr. Moran was employed in the maintenance department at United
Technologies. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign
Wars Post 2689, and the Knights of Columbus. He helped organize the Huntington County
Modelers Club and Flying Field and was an radio control hobbyist and a model train
enthusiast. He was also a ham radio operator.
He graduated from Huntington Catholic High School in 1945 and served in the U.S. Army in
World War II.
Mr. Moran was born Oct. 19, 1926, in Huntington to John P. and Helene E. Eisenhauer Moran.
He married Lorna Schultz on Nov. 11, 1948, and she preceded him in death on April 6,
1991.
Survivors include a son, Michael Moran of Columbia City; a daughter, Debra Butts of
Huntington; a twin brother, James Moran of Huntington; two grandchildren; two
step-grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a step-great-grandchild.
A brother, Patrick Moran, and a sister, Helene Ann Comstock, preceded him in death.
Calling hours are 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N.
Jefferson St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at SS. Peter and
Paul Catholic Church, 840 Cherry St., with Father Ron Rieder officiating.
Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church for Masses, Love INC, or the
Huntington County Senior Center, all in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N.

James E. Scott
Services for James Ervin Scott were held Monday at the Clary Funeral Home in Alton, Mo.
Mr. Scott, 79, of Koshkonong, Mo. and formerly of Huntington County, died June 8, 2005.
He was born April 4, 1926. He grew up near Roanoke and had also lived in Florida and Iowa.
He had been a farmer and rancher all his life, and he and his wife helped start the 4-H
Horse and Pony Club in Huntington County.
Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, Gerry; a daughter, Cynthia; a son, James Ervin Jr.; and
two granddaughters. His family resides in the Koshkonong, Mo. area.
A son, Gerry, preceded him in death.
