Terry R. Brown
Terry R. Brown, 78, died June 13, 2005, in the Philippines.
Mr. Brown, a former resident of Indianapolis, had homes in California and Indiana but
spent several months a year in the Philippines building homes for the poor.
He was a union roofer for Blackmore and Buckner. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic
Church and the Handyman Club of Spencer, Ind.
Survivors include his wife, Lily Brown of Stockton, Calif.; two sons, Stacey Brown of
Midland, Texas, and Mike Moreland of Warren; four daughters, Vicky Goode of Flat Rock,
Neysa Macy of Fortville, Sue Ann Baker of Lynnville, and Sharon Brooks of Indianapolis;
two stepchildren, Chucky Smith and Nancy Smith, both of Fairland; a sister, Helen Jones of
Evansville; a brother, Billy Dean Davault of Evansville; and several grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Miller and Thomas Davault.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The Erlewein Mortuary, Fortville, is in charge of arrangements.
Geraldine K. Caley
Geraldine K. "Gerry" Caley, 72, 445 Lynnwood Dr., died at 3:14 p.m. Thursday
(June 23, 2005) at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Caley retired in 1996 as senior deputy for the city clerk treasurer, where she had
worked for more than 16 years. Prior to that, she was the office manager for the former
John Ramp Chevrolet in Huntington. She was a lifetime resident of Huntington and a 50-year
member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was born Nov. 17, 1932, in Huntington to Elton and Hazel Yeiter Sunday. She was a 1950
graduate of Huntington High School. She married Duwane G. Caley in Huntington on Feb. 4,
1951. Her husband survives.
Also surviving are a son, Jeffry D. Caley, Andrews; five grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Bailey-Love Mortuary. Funeral services will be
held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Rev. Ray Seilhamer officiating. Burial
will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Gerry Caley may be made to Trinity United
Methodist Church in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington, IN 46750.

Sister Bernardine Mabrey
Sr. Bernardine Mabrey, O.L.V.M., 84, a resident of Victory Noll, Huntington, died at 9:55
a.m. Monday (June 20, 2005) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Sister Bernardine was born Sept. 16, 1920, in Fort Wayne to Austine A. and Marie K. Junk
Mabrey.
Sister Bernardine entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters Oct.
28, 1948, and made first vows Aug. 5, 1951. She served in the missions of the Congregation
in Arizona, California, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, Utah, and Texas. In
2001, she retired and returned to Victory Noll.
Sister Bernardine was the oldest of nine children. She is survived by two brothers, Thomas
Mabrey of Ozark, Mo., and Francis Mabrey of Violent Hill, Alaska; and two sisters,
Marianne T. Rowe of Rockford, Ill., and Maureen L. Marx of Omaha, Neb.
Four brothers - Paul, Edward, John, and Jerome Mabrey - preceded her in death.
A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, with calling one hour prior to the service,
at the Victory Noll Chapel, 1900 W. Park Dr.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, with calling one hour
prior to Mass, at the Victory Noll Chapel. Rev. Thomas Fahey will preside.
Burial will be at Victory Noll Cemetery.
