My dad's stepfamily was Beaver. If he ties in with your Beaver family it is probably a
distant relationship, (and I don't know any family history on the Beavers), but I do
have a copy of Roscoe Owen Beaver's obituary, who died Thursday afternoon, July 7
1938.
It says:
Roscoe Owen Beaver, aged 43, former resident of this city, died at 4:20pm Thursday at his
home in Chicago, where he had been ill since Oct 17, 1936.
He was born March 10, 1895 in Kennard, Ind. to William E. and Forest Beaver. He married
Miss Dorothy Kuester, and they have three surviving children, Wilfred, Wallace, and
Darline. He leaves also his mother, Mrs W. E. Beaver, of this city (Huntington), and four
sisters, Mrs. Tressie Lacey, Indianapolis; Mrs Fern Cottingham, Chicago; Mrs Dorothy Hale,
Indianapolis; and Miss Ruth Beaver of this city.
His father and three brothers, Russell, Floyd, and Howard, and a sister Mary Beaver are
deceased.
A member of St Mary's Catholic church during his residence in Huntington, Mr Beaver
moved his family to Chicago in 1925. The body will arrive in this city on the 9pm Erie
train Friday, and will be taken to the home of his mother, 724 Webster street. Funeral
