Hi Loren,
Well what do you know....we're related! Albeit distantly, as I am your half 6th
cousin, once removed. Our common ancestor was John (1720) Hendershot your 6th
great-grandfather and my 5th great-grandfather. I descend from John's first wife, Ann
Schooley, while you are from John's 2nd wife, Catherine Bodine.....hence our
"half" relationship, putting me in Hendershot Clan C2 and you in C3.
Here is my linage:
John Hendershot (1720)/1st- Ann Schooley; Michael Hendershot (1745)/Sarah Scholl; William
Scholl Hendershot (1778/Mary Beavers Kitchen; George Beavers Hendershot (1800)/Sarah
Permilla Simmons; (my great-grandparents) James Montgomery Hendershott (1840)/Sarah
Delilah Barker; (my grandparents) George Edmond Hendershott (1872)/Ida May Saum; (my
parents) Kenneth James Marshall aka Claude Eugene Hendershott at birth (1910)/2nd- Helen
Margaret Hanson; and me, Roberta Ann "Bobbi" Marshall (aka Lane, my
stepfather's surname) Harrison.
I have a
MyFamily.com site called "Hendershot/Hendershott Descendants" which is
for the Clan C family members. Would love to have you join us and share your C3 family
history and photos, along with the others from your branch and those of us from C2. Since
the sites are private, password protected, by invitation only, they are safe for sharing
things we don't want viewed on the open Internet. As well as any history that can be
shared with the Hendershot Researchers group. Are you a member of that group?
There's an official web site for us now and here's the link to it if you
haven't seen it before.

We also exchange information on the HENDERSHOT-L(a)rootsweb.com mailing list. Are you
signed up for notifications from that one?
Looking forward to hearing from you. Feel free to e-mail me for more details.
Till later....your new found cuzzie,
Bobbi Harrison
I saw my tree with many branches.....and I explored it, for I became a geanie seeker.
