Jacob Arnold, 85, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday (June 13, 2001) at the United Methodist
Memorial Home, Warren, where he was a resident. Mr. Arnold retired from Wabash Magnetics
on Jan. 6, 1976. He was also a Jefferson Township farmer and had worked as a school bus
driver for the Huntington County schools and as a janitor at Jefferson Township High
School. He was a member of the Hillcrest Church of the Nazarene. He and his wife, Mary,
had lived at Big Lake in Noble County for 18 years, and Mr. Arnold served as a former
president of the Big Lake Association, Albion. He was born March 25, 1916, in Warren to
Oscar and Mertie Rowe Arnold. He attended Jefferson Township High School. He married Mary
Daugherty in Dillman on Nov. 6, 1937. His wife survives. Also surviving are three sons,
Jerry Arnold, Pelham, N.C., and Harold Arnold and Gerald Arnold, both of Huntington; a
sister, Mary Renbarger, Warren; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was

ry D. Arnold; three sisters, Hattie Wesco, Violet Hardon and Nadine Slater; one
grandchild; and one great-grandchild. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the United
Methodist Memorial Home, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren, where funeral services will be held
at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Rev. John Pattison will officiate. Burial will be at the Woodlawn
Cemetery, Warren. Glancy Funeral Homes, H. Brown & Son Chapel, 203 N. Matilda St.,
Warren, is in charge of arrangements.
