I would appreciate it very much if anyone reading this message could share with me
information about my great greatgrandparents. Looking for information regarding their
births, deaths, burial, their parents and other family records and biographies. Their
names were:
Charles Monroe VanDine:
He died in Wabash or North Manchester in 1913 when he fell from a cherry tree while
picking cherries and broke his neck). Born apx. 1845, he was apx. 68 years old when he
died). Born in Ohio (ProbablyRoss Co.) and buried in Roanoke, north of Huntington, in
Huntington Co., in the Glenwood Cemetery.
Margaret Ann (Thompson) VanDine (she died in 1889 at the age of 42). Born in Ross Co.,
Ohio. Lived near Liberty Center just outside of Bluffton. She was the second wife of
Charles Monroe VanDine and had three children by him: Isaac Finlay (or Finlay) VanDine,
Julia Ann VanDine and Minnie Isobel VanDine (my grandmother-who was put up for adoption
when her mother died). I am specifically looking for the a copy of the death record of
Margaret Ann (Thompson) VanDine, especially the cause of death. Her obituary would be very
helpful. I believe she was married once before her marriage to Charles VanDine. I believe
her first marriage was to a man named Parkes/Parks and that she was a widow or divorced
from him. I would love to have copies of her divorce decree or divorce record. I she is
buried at Mossburg Cemetery near Liberty Center, but I was unable to find a marker for her
when I was there.
I would be very thankful for any information that you can share with me by your random act
of kindness!
