Ivan James "WHITEY" Caine (90) died at Middletown Nursing and Rehabilitation
Center on January 1, 2004. Had farmed his entire life.
Preceded in death by wife, Betty, and two sons. Survivors: a daughter: Joy
Hornaday; two sons, Michael and Jerry; seven grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
Services by: Ballard and Sons Funeral Home at 118 S. 5th St., burial in
the Miller Cemetery. Memorials to Henry County Heart Society.

My father, Charles R. Jones, his brothers (Robin Hiatt Jones and Herman
Willoughby Jones) and all his ancestors (Jones, Wimmer, Hiatt, Willoughby,
going back to the 1820s) were born and raised on farms in New Castle and, as a
child, I was too.. My grandparents Herman and Bernice Hiatt Jones lived on the
farm until they moved into town in the 50's to South 12th Street in New
Castle. I believe my grandfather used to be the President of the Henry Coounty
Historical Society.
