Tim:
The connection between Henry Co., IN and Wall rang several bells.
I descend from the Stephenson family who blew through Henry Co. in the early 1800's.
They wound up mingling (Or perhaps mangling) with the Walls.
It is a long story, and I don't directly descend from the Walls, but they appear on
the family chart because My GGGreat Grandmother married a Benjamin Wall after her first
husband drown in a stream trying to quench typhoid fever.
Not to bore you with this, but the genealogy of the Wall family shows an entry early on.
Benjamin's uncle, Stephen Wall moved to Noblesville, Indiana.
Isn't Noblesville in Henry County??? Is this a bad guess on my part?
Stephen was the son of Capt. John Wall who was born in England and fought in the
Revolutionary war.
In figuring the timing, Benjamin was born in 1799 in Kentucky. Stephen was probably born a
little earlier, also in Kentucky, or at least that is how it appears.
If this proves a good clue (Clew in those days), You descend from a family that is
unbelievably rich in the history of this nation, and I have it for you. If not, as Emily
Lattella said "Never mind".
What county is Noblesville in? That is probably the clue that needs to be searched.
Assuming you are in the area, I would go there, find the county seat and explore dusty
stuff.
I am on the Washington Coast, so can't help.
Let me know if this seems a possibility, I'll help if I can, and good hunting!
