Hi Barb:
I don't know how much help this will be, but I have a Ware CASSADY in my
family line. However, this Ware married Elizabeth GRUWELL. This
information came from the Gruwell Genealogy website:
http://members.aol.com/ragruwell/home.html The website is maintained by
Royce Gruwell. This is what I have:
Ware CASSADY was one of the earliest settlers in western Ohio. On 1 January
1804 Ware purchased 160 acres comprising the NE quarter of T4N R3E sec 1 in
Preble County, Ohio. At the time Ware was residing in Montgomery County and
this purchase was an original land entry processed by the Cincinnati Land
Office. Ware CASSADY married Elizabeth GRUWELL, also known as Betsy, in
Preble County on 11 April 1811. Reverend William Williams, M. G. presiding.
Elizabeth was born 1784 in Kent Co, Delaware. Elizabeth died in Rush Co,
Indiana. They had the following children:
Margaret (1813-)
Eliza (1815-)
Ware (1817-)
William (1819-)
Robert (1823-)
Simon (1820-)
I do not have any other info on Ware, such as parents, siblings, birth,
death and burial dates/places. Perhaps this Ware is the son or nephew of
your Ware?
Good luck,
Dona L. Gruell-Lannon
