there were 47 Shucks and no Shuchs noted in Harrison County, Indiana, and
only one Solimon Shuck who was noted in other records as Sol and Soloman.
Solimon Shuck, age 18 and a native of Indiana, resided in the household of
John and Catherine Shuck in Heth Township. He worked as a farm laborer.
AMATEUR CIRCUS
Sol Shuch (sic), of Corydon, Indiana, on his way to a circus anticipated the
performance by attempting to ride a steeplechase over a cow lying in the
road. Her bossness politely arose as the horse was making his leap and
landed the festive Sol on his head in the dirt, badly injuring him.
