Have you done any research on the Riggin or Riggins who came to Indiana in
1852 from North Carolina?
In the research I have done I have found members of this family whose name
was spelled Regan as well as Reagan.
My GGrandfather, Wm Bibee, was married to a Phoebe Riggin in Hendricks
county, Indiana As near as I can determine he was born in Harrison county
in 1838

Jesse,
My cousin Carole Reagan found a book listing records for the care of the
poor in Harrison County, IN from 1821-1860
I just got through looking through all 887 pages for the Ragan/Reagan
name. Phoebe is listed as a pauper widow and was awarded money from
1827-1832. The state paid for her coffin in 1832

To make your life a little easier, I am listing below all the pages the
Reagan/Ragan name is listed:
Pg 455 Hiram C Reagan in 1847
Pg 37,47,51,67,75,90,94,106,118,130144,174 - Widow/Phoebe Ragan
No mention of Amos, but at least we know now that his wife Phoebe was
widowed by 1827
