We went to Corydon 5 yrs ago to research my Rafferty and Hancocks in Blue
River TwP and the Hancock Chapel cemetary. We stayed right in town in the
historic Kintner house B & B and enjoyed it very much. There are a couple of
good restaurants downtown also and everyone was helpful at the genealogical
library. It was chilly April, so we didn't need a/c, but it is nice they
have it now. I don't know of any on-line resources for 1830's materials for
Jefferson County, KY. Anna, you might want to check the website of the
Filson Club in Louisville,
www.filsonhistorical.org to see what they have..
I think you have to peruse their stuff in person for a fee. The Jefferson
County Gen Web site or the U of Louisville library might be helpful. I did
a lot of research a few years ago on my ancestors in Louisiville and
Breckenridge county. Dave

Would you by any chance know the best on-line sources for records of
Jefferson Co., KY in the 1830s, please? I am struggling to find
guardianship records there. Thank you
Anna

There is a nice Hampton Inn right at I-64 and IN 135. The genealogy
library is the old public library and I have found the people there and at
the Courthouse very helpful and friendly. Good Luck in your visit.
