Sharp's Mill was built in 1845 by Horatio Sharp. It was a grist and
carding mill. It burnt April 18, 1897 and was between Harrison Spring
and Rothrock's mill at Sharptown which was about three miles from
Rothrock's Mill going South. There was orginally about 14 mills along
Blue River

Was Rothrock's Mill named Sharp's Mill before it was Rothrock's Mill?
Could someone recommend a good history book of Harrison County that would provide some
history of Rothrock's Mill and the area near and around it? I am particularly
interested in why so many German families came to settle in the area near Rothrock's
Mill.
