I am searching for any information on theold Mauc's mill. It was located at the foot
of Pilot's Knob and was a Grist and saw mill. first built by Henry L. Fabrique in
1835, Mr Fabrique sold the mill and surrounding property to John J. Mauck and it soon
became known as Mauck's Mill. There are two house's located on this property. One
is very small and the other in it's day was a mansion. I founnd a date on the big
house the other day. It read The house was built Dec. 18, 1894, I would love to know any
history about this old house or who built it. I do know after John J Mauck had the house a
M.C. Broeker owned it. I have many times heard it called the old Broeker place. If you
have any information on this please notify me at Thumbs0527(a)aol.com
P.S This place is located just above the fairgrounds back Lincoln Hills road.
