Everyone is invited to the Ancestral Trails Historical Society's second
annual Genealogy & History Book Fair & Sale on Saturday, May 22nd, from 9:00
a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Pritchard Community Center in Elizabethtown, KY.
This year's event includes over 50 tables & 5,500 sq. ft. of societies and
vendors representing the history of towns, churches, individuals and events
from all around the Kentucky area. There is no admission charge and no
charge for four free seminars. We have two national speakers who have
volunteered to speak: Carrie Eldridge on "Appalachian Trail from 1700 -
1800" and Dr. Lynwood Montell on "Haunted Houses and Family Ghosts of
Kentucky". Gary Kempf, Fort Knox historian and author, will give a slide
presentation about the many family cemeteries on the Fort Knox Reservation.
Richard Briggs, local historian and author, will be presenting "200 Years on
the Ohio River". Carolyn Wimp will have three new books available: Hardin
County Militia 1863-1875; Nelson County Newspaper Abstracts 1852-1902; and
Hardin County Newspaper Abstracts 1909. There will be plenty of free
