My John Wesley Miller married Harriet Highfill in Harrison County, Indiana and they
settled in Jersey County, Illinois.... So not mine...
I went to Meadowbranch Cemetery just a bit ago to see what is there...
George W. Miller, son of John Wesley and Harriet has a stone there with his wife and two
of their young children... It is intact and readable but laying on the ground.
Also there is 4 Highfill stones...

(I am assuming this is Thomas Smith Highfill and Amanda Lewis Highfill)
son of T.S. & F.C. Highfill
March 16, 1878
Aged 22 years 2 months 25 days
No name on this one as it is broken in half...
Again I am assuming this is Thomas Smith Highfill and Francis Kipps Highfill's son

I don't know how or if George T fits in... Maybe another son...
I know that John Wesley Miller, his son Isaac N. Miller and wife Martha Jane Trammel
Miller, Margaret Jane Miller Cline (Isaac's sister) is buried there as well as Martha
Jane Trammel Miller's parents but all the stones are gone... There are a few that are
in the ground there... not sure if totally sunk or it is broken off but about 2 inches is
sticking up from the ground... I am sure this is one of them...
Headed to Fieldon Cemetery, hopefully on Thursday to get a few more pics of the Miller
kids stones... Alice Miller Ridenour and her husband Russell and Allen Miller (Alice and
Allen are the twins of John W and Harriet) are buried there... Still need to find out
where Hattie Miller Smith is buried and also William Daniel...
If I get a chance, I will go to the Alton Library on Wednesday and look through the
cemetery books to look for Hattie and her husband, Charles... Also for William D and his
wife...
On the Jersey County, IL site I found a Ana Bern (Phillips) Miller buried at Rosedale
Cemetery in Jersey County... It states that she is the wife of William Miller... just not
sure if it is our William or not...
Okay that is what I have accomplished so far today...
