I am showing a Benjamin Adams married Margaret Watson on Feb 24, 1825 Martin
Co IN. My Henson family line was of Harrison and Martin Co IN. I don't
know the connection between Harrison and Martin Co IN, but I know you can
find early settlers of Harrison Co ending up in Martin Co. I am showing
some Adams family were married with the Forbis/Forbes line and they were of
Laurel Co KY. I am showing a James Adams b abt 1781 (died 1869 Laurel Co
KY) married to Elizabeth Forbis. They had a son James Adams JR. My
gggrandfather George W Henson married Anna Forbish/Forbes on Dec 21, 1825
Martin Co IN and by 1828 he was found living in Laurel Co KY. Thanks to
everyone for sharing whatever additional information you can on any of these
people.

I'm interested in any info on Benjamin Adams. I have found land records
for Benjamin Adams in Harrison as early as 1817. I also just found out
that there was a Benjamin Adams living around Corydon from the teens
through the late 1820s. This man was a Methodist preacher, politician and
physician. This man also supposedly was instrumental in starting the
first school in Corydon.
My interest here relates to finding the parents of my 3rd gr grandfather,
James Adams. He shows up in the Harrison census first in 1840. We know
from a KY marriage bond that his parents were from Nelson. He himself was
born in KY in 1814. He married Sarah Tinley in Harrisonn in 1837.
Any help would be appreciated!
