This is so true. I have been fighting for 7 months to get my
mom/myself/children/grandchildren off of
ancestry.com. The person who put it up said they
have no idea who I am or how my information got into their databank and said it wasn't
even in his data bank now! He didn't do it. Right.... And to make it worse. They
have me the daughter of my brother. It isn't even right! I have made it a rule now
to not share anything past the year 1900 unless it is with a very trusted family member
and then I discuss it with them before I share with them on how they will treat the
information I give them. I put it in writing how I do not want this information used
without the permission of the persons in it. Don't know if it does any good but at
least it is educating one person at a time why NOT to do what happened to me. I don't
even know how this person got my files. He wouldn't take them down either. I have had
to go past him strait to Ancestry. They always say we will rem!
ove that file in 3 weeks, thank you for letting them know that living individuals are on
their site, they don't want that, it isn't right...... Well, 7 mo. later.... Be
forewarned. Why is it always one apple that spoils the barrel?
