My ggggrandfather Rev War Vet William Henson and his sons/family were early
settlers of Harrison Co (See 1810 Census). Could you see if any
Henson/Hanson names are listed as members of the Old Goshin Baptist Church?
Thanks for your help and sharing. 'R.E.' Hinson Jr

Hi, Donna,
I don't know too much about this church, unfortunately. I do have a file
of minutes nearly complete, from 1816 to 2000 of the Blue River
Association of which it was a member, so I may be able to find the names
of a few of the members. The account and photo of the old hewn poplar log
building which I found, was in the "Primitive Monitor" - perhaps about
1913, not sure, and it says that the Boone family name, including five
Boone brothers, is common in the cemetery, and that a brother of Daniel
rests in a near-by cave. I see by doing a google search that the State of
Indiana is in some way involved, or has been, in caring for the property
as a historic site, and the way the account reads, I wonder if the log
building may yet be there, on the 2 1/2 acre tract.
