I'm not sure if this helps, but I thought I would share it.
I descend from Col Jacob Ferree (b. 17 Mar 1798, Allegany Co., PA. d: 9 July 1863 at the
Battle of Corydon, Harrison Co.). Col. Jacob Ferree was married to Rachel Carroll (b: 11
June 1800, Allegeny Co, PA. d: 28 July 1869. Both, along with their children are buried
at the Ferree Cemetery (abt. 3 miles east of Laconia. Col Jacob Ferree is the son of Joel
Ferree (b: 8 Aug 1753, Lancaster Co, PA. d: 24 Jan 1820, Lancaster Co., PA). Joel was
married to Christena Kukendall, daughter of Benjamin. Joel Ferree was the son of Joel
Ferree (b. 13 Feb 1731-31 Lancaster Co., PA. d: 19 Jan 1801, Allegany Co, PA). Joel, the
father was married to Mary Copeland (he had several wifes). Joel is the son of Philip
Ferree (b. 1686, France, d: July 1753 Lancaster ). Philip married Leah DuBois ((b: 10 Oct
1687, New Paltz, Ulster Co, NY., d: 12 Sept 1758, Lancaster Co, PA). Philip is the son of
Daniel Ferree (b. abt 1647 France). Daniel married Maria De La Worrembuer (b. 1653
France). Maria is als!
o known a Madam Ferree. They left France and went into Germany and had to flee because
religous persecution. Anyway William Penn assisted the Ferree's passage. All the
Ferree's descend from Daniel and Maria. This Ferree family is very well known in
Paradise, Lancaster Co., PA.
I also know there was a Spencer Ferree and James Ferree in Harrison County. I believe they
are cousins to Col. Jacob Ferree.
If you wish to contact me, please send me an email, since I do not frequent message boards
