Roy, this is Ron Sanders. I own the log cabin near Cumberland. I hadn't heard from
you in a long time. I want to order a CD. I will mail you a check. Also there is a
documentary coming out on PBS in the upcoming months. It is titled "Movers and
Stakers" The cabin and my interview made the editors cut. I will try to let you
know when it is out. Ron

Hi Folks
I completed a book in August 2008 titled, “The Saga of Obadiah Eastes.”
(b: 4 Jul 1758, VA – d: 9 Feb 1847 8- Hancock Co., IN)
This is the story of my 3rd great Grandfather who married Francis Harvey
in Edgefield, SC on 9 Feb 1792.
They migrated with 3 small children into KY and then into IN Territory in
1806. On 28 December 1811, nine days after the great Madrid Earthquake,
Permelia Eastes was born in Franklin Co. Indiana. Later they moved north
into Hancock County.
This story documents their lives and travels with dates and and places
with tax and court records, thus allowing us to determined the births for each
of the 11 children. Obadiah and Francis are buried in the Eastes/Harvey
cem at Mt Comfort, in Hancock Co.
This book is on CD and constructed in such a way that it that can be read
on a computer or printed and bound. The CD is free and not copyrighted.
However, there is a stipulation noted that it is not to be sold or exchanged
for financial gain.
The CD contains too much data to be attached to an E mail but will be
mailed 1st Class UPS.
I do not charge for my work but donations will not be returned! J
Best Regards
