In answer to your query about Cassius Kuhn and my Kuhn's, I doubt
if there
is
a connection. My GGGrandfather Kuhn was the only offspring of his
parents.
However his father did have other children by other marriages. They
would
be
half brothers and sisters. So that could be the connection. That
name
would
be Coon or Coons, derived from the German name Cuntz or variations
there
of.
His grandchildren changed the name to KUHN in the 1920's or so.
