Roger,
not my family either, but you will find some Stumpf connection, and lots of
Ostermeier information at
http://www.rootsquest.com/~indiana/hancock/1916/index.html
This contains transcripts of 1916 Hancock county biographies.

Subject: Re: [INHANCOC] Triese/Stumph info
Roger, this is not my family but have the following information:
The Ostermeier/Stump Cemetery is located on the south side of State Road
52 between 500 and 550 West.
Only used by family members and not easily accessible. German natives,
Charles Ostermeier and his wife Catherine Stump were early settlers of
Sugar Creek Township. In 1887 the land and the burying grounds were owned
by their son Charles. Catherine's mother, Mrs Stump, lived her last years
on the Ostermeier homestead, and there is no stone with her name
inscribed, she is likely buried there. The maintenance is under the
township trustee.
There is one large stone and four small footstones.

footstone says Mother
footstone says Father
footstone says Infant
footstone says Henry
This is from Sue Baker Hancock County Indiana Tombstone Inscriptions.
No Stumph listed.
There are no Triese listed but there is a Trice. Hope this helps, Linda

I am looking for two families who lived in Hancock in the mid to late
1800's: Triese and Stumph. Elizabeth Magdalena Triese came here with her
father Frederick and lived for awhile in Hancock. Henry Benjamin Stumph
lived with his sister Mary who somehow vanishes. Would like any
information
on her death or whereabouts.
